Alec Miller, Psy.D., is a clinical psychologist in private practice in White Plains, NY. Dr. Miller is a co-founder and the clinical director of Cognitive & Behavioral Consultants of Westchester and Manhattan. Dr. Miller sees adolescents, young adults, and adults with a range of presenting problems including stress, anxiety, and adjustment issues, as well as mood disorders, personality disorder, suicidality, and self-injury. Treatment can be as brief as 8 sessions of mindfulness-based work, or longer with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) or dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Dr. Miller sees people for individual work, usually once per week, sometimes twice per week, and runs a multifamily skills group once a week. His individual sessions are 45 minutes. His office hours for individual treatment are Mondays and Wednesdays, with some flexibility, in the afternoons and evenings. Dr. Miller is also involved in training other professionals in CBT and DBT; he is part of the faculty for the CBT Five Day Foundational Training at Cognitive & Behavioral Consultants of Westchester and Manhattan. In addition, Dr. Miller is a clinical professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY. He is not on insurance company panels, and so is out of network.
