Michelle Maidenberg, Ph.D., M.P.H., L.C.S.W.-R., C.G.P., 600 Mamaroneck Avenue, Suite 400, Harrison, NY 10528. Michelle Maidenberg, Ph.D., is a clinical social worker in private practice in Harrison, NY. Dr. Maidenberg sees children, first grade and up, teens, and adults. Her treatment approach includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and eye movement desensitization & reprocessing therapy (EMDR). She sees social skills in relationships on a continuum: initiating, developing and sustaining, and works with people on identifying where on this continuum they are challenged, and then focuses on skills and strategies for those areas. She believes that to be effective in romantic relationships, one must be effective in peer relationships. Dr Maidenberg sees people with anxiety disorders, including social anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationship issues, and trauma. She works with individual, couples, parents, and groups. Dr. Maidenberg is the president and clinical director of Westchester Group Works, and is currently leading a college age, young adult group that is social skills based, for those with underlying anxiety and depression. The treatment approach includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness. The group meets once every other week, for 1 1/2 hours, Monday evenings. Dr. Maidenberg’s individual sessions are 45 minutes. Her office hours are currently Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. She is not on insurance company panels, and so is an out-of-network provider; she gives invoices to be presented to one’s insurance company. Her office is located in a professional building, with plenty of free parking, and is close to two highways. The building is wheelchair accessible through a back entrance. Dr. Maidenberg is the supervisor for the cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) coaches for Camp Shane Weight Loss Camps, for which she created a treatment manual. Dr. Maidenberg is a cofounder, and clinical co-director, of Thru My Eyes, foundation. Thru My Eyes is a 501(c)3 charitable foundation that creates a free, clinician-guided video for chronically medically ill individuals who want to leave a video legacy for their loved ones.
