Rebecca LoPresti, Ph.D., is a psychologist in private practice in White Plains, NY. Dr. LoPresti is a cognitive behavioral therapy-oriented (CBT) therapist who specializes in eating and weight disorders, as well as anxiety disorders. She is Maudsley-trained, and her work with eating and weight disorders is from a Maudsley approach, in addition to cognitive behavioral therapy. Her work with anxiety disorders includes specific phobias, social phobia, and school avoidance, addressing symptoms such as taste aversions, fear of vomiting, and fear of flying. Sessions are individual, generally weekly, although if there is significant distress, sessions can be twice per week. Sessions are 40-50 minutes long. Dr. LoPresti works with children, adolescents, college-age young adults, and adults. In working with younger kids, she also meets with parents for family meetings. Dr. LoPresti’s office hours are Monday through Thursday, late morning through evening. Her office is located near a major highway, in an office building with plenty of parking. She does not take insurance, but is happy to fill out insurance forms and call insurance companies.
