Ms. Camper sees adolescents with anxiety, depression, school stress, and/or family problems, including parents experiencing divorce or difficult marriages, or an illness in the family. Additionally, she enjoys working with kids who may be outside of the mainstream, to help them to feel OK with who they are. Ms. Camper sees adult couples for marital therapy, including couples before they get married. Sessions are typically 45-50 minutes with children and adolescents, 1 hour with couples. She describes herself as optimistic by nature, and looks to inspire hope, noting a person’s strength and bringing it to his or her attention. In her work with families, she is able to simultaneously empathize with each member of the family. The length of treatment varies; some meet to work on a focused goal for a shorter time, others prefer to meet over a longer time.
