Lillian Rosenblatt, L.C.S.W., 9 Hathaway Lane, White Plains, NY 10605. Lillian Rosenblatt, L.C.S.W., is a social worker in private practice in White Plains, NY. Ms. Rosenblatt sees individuals, ages 10 years old and up through adults, couples, and families, in a psychodynamic practice that includes many other modalities of psychotherapy, shaped and adapted according to the patient. Along with psychodynamic psychotherapy, Ms. Rosenblatt integrates cognitive elements, acceptance and commitment therapy, strategic family therapy, systemic therapy, and mindfulness. Therapy can include sexual therapy with couples, and addressing sexual issues of individuals and couples. People often come to see her because there is something they are feeling anxious about: a work situation, a personal family dynamic, an affair, or a marriage is about to be broken up. Sometimes, they are anxious and are not sure why. Others come because of an eating disorder, alcohol abuse, or substance abuse. In the case of alcohol and substance abuse, Ms. Rosenblatt will evaluate whether this is the appropriate level of treatment, or whether to help a person get to another level of treatment. She also brings in other supports, such as alcoholics anonymous (AA) and narcotics anonymous (NA). Work around addictions can include pornographic addictions and sexual addictions. Some people come to therapy to work on parenting issues, wanting help with how to deal with their children in relation to themselves; some moms come who need guidance and support. There is a range of the length of therapy, including short-term that can be 6, 8, or 10 sessions, and longer-term. For longer-term therapy, sessions eventually can be every other week, or every three weeks. With couples who are not sure if they want to stay in their marriage or not, Ms. Rosenblatt has an evaluation period in therapy, in which they discuss and reflect on what the issues are and evaluate whether or not they are motivated and invested enough to work on the marriage. This is usually a 6 month period, after which the couple either decide they do not want to work on the marriage, or that they do, at which point the therapy changes gears as they work on trying to heal the relationship. Ms. Rosenblatt works collaboratively with other clinicians, whether she is seeing an individual or a couple, including other psychotherapists and psychiatrists. At times, she will include extended family members in treatment, bringing in siblings, parents, and partners. Couples sessions are 1 hour, and individual sessions are 45 minutes. She is on the Aetna insurance panel. For those with other insurance, one would self-pay, and Ms. Rosenblatt gives statements to submit to one’s insurance company for out-of-network benefits. Her home office, on a residential street, has its own entrance at the side of the house. Ms. Rosenblatt speaks Hebrew fluently. She has an office in New York City also. Her hours in White Plains are Monday 9 a.m.-9:30 p.m., Wednesday mornings 7:30 a.m.-noon, and Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The other days she is at her New York City office.
